đż Day 7 - Write Yourself a Permission Slip
Hello gentle souls đź
Youâve made it to Day 7 of the Spring Into Mindfulness challengeâand through your first full week of showing up for yourself with intention. That is something to truly be proud of.
Whether you journaled every day, did one or two mindful activities, or simply paused once this week to breathe and reconnectâyou are doing the work. The work of coming back to yourself. Of listening. Of softening.
And thatâs exactly where todayâs focus takes us: into the heart of what it means to nourish yourself with rest.
We live in a world that glorifies productivity, speed, and endless doing. But spring doesnât bloom in a rush. And neither do you.
Today, we shift our attention to rest as nourishmentânot something you âearn,â but something you deserve simply because you are human.
Rest isnât just physical. Itâs emotional. Itâs spiritual. Itâs the deep exhale your soul takes when you finally give yourself permission to pause.
⨠Todayâs Affirmation:
âMy needs are valid and worth honoring.â
Let this be your mantra today. Say it gently. Write it down. Let it wrap around the parts of you that still feel like they need permission to slow down, to take a break, to step back.
You do not have to wait until youâre burnt out to take care of yourself. You can choose rest because you are worthy of it.
đ Journal Prompt:
What have I been needing that Iâve been ignoring?
This prompt isnât here to shame youâitâs here to offer clarity. Sometimes the things we need the most are the easiest to overlook. Today is a beautiful opportunity to check in with yourself honestly and kindly. Ask: What is your body asking for? Your heart? Your energy?
đ¸ Mindful Activity: Write Yourself a Permission Slip
Take out a piece of paper or open your journal, and write yourself a note that gives you permission to honor your needs. It could be for todayâor for the season youâre in.
Here are some gentle examples:
đ âI give myself permission to rest without guilt.â
đ âI give myself permission to cancel plans if I need space.â
đ âI give myself permission to feel what Iâm feeling.â
đ âI give myself permission to be enoughâjust as I am.â
You can tuck it in your journal, pin it to your mirror, or take a photo and make it your phone background. Let it be a soft anchor whenever you forget that your needs matter.
đŹ Group Reflection:
Whatâs one need youâre giving yourself permission to honor today?
How do you want to nourish yourself with rest this week?
What does rest actually look like for youâbeyond sleep?
There is no âperfectâ way to rest. For some, itâs silence. For others, itâs creating, crying, laughing, breathing, or simply doing less.
Remember: Rest is not something you earn after burnoutâitâs something you deserve because your energy is sacred.
You are allowed to slow down. You are allowed to say no. You are allowed to protect your peace.
Let today be a loving reminder that you do not have to bloom every day. Sometimes the most powerful growth happens in the quiet, in the stillness, in the in-between.
Keep goingâgently đ
